Top Gear on BBC comes to an end

The immensely popular gearhead show "Top Gear" on the BBC is coming to a close.  After 22 seasons, Clarkson, Hammond and May will end the long running season.  Fear not, the trio is working on a new show, though it will not be a BBC production.

Survey not from the Motor Company

Harley Davidson sends to their dealer network surveys over the years to poll how the motor company is doing and how to improve.  However, a survey went out from Baird/Dealernews purporting to be from HD and it is not.  Be careful what info you share!

Counteract Tire Beads

Counteract Motorcycle Balancing Beads

When Counteract Balancing Beads are installed inside the tire the specially coated micro-spheres are distributed throughout the tire through centrifugal force as the wheel rotates. As the force of the out-of-balance spot increases and pulls the suspension in an up and down motion, the inertia causes the beads to move in the opposite direction and rapidly shift until complete wheel assembly is balanced.

This weekend is the Steve McQueen car and bike show in Chino, California.  Neat themed awards for this one.

• Bullitt Trophy – for best Bullitt Mustang

• Cool Style Perpetual Trophy – awarded to the vehicle that best evokes Steve McQueen’s style and passion for automobiles
• There will be additional trophies presented by the Bullitt club.

World Ride 2015

This year the Harley Davidson World ride takes place on the last weekend of  June.  In years past, the ride, which last year logged over 10 million miles, took place on a Monday.
