I was hanging out at my bud Mark's shop today and we were talking about being creative with anti theft devices for bikes. Perhaps using emergency kill switches, like the Pingel kill switch you see on drag bikes or jet skis.......Or you can use my Pa's model. When I first got my Pa's motorcycle, I wondered what a dc light bulb socket was doing by the battery ground. I would kick and kick, but I I couldn't start the thing. After doing some continuity tests, I found an open circuit right at the battery ground. What the?? I started looking through my Pa's toolbox and there I found a clothes pin cut in half and had the cannon side of a light bulb pounded on the end of it. I inserted it into the socket by the battery, and we had juice. The only thing you need to start his bike was a Briggs and Stratton key.....and a jerry rigged kill switch.
