Mount Rushmore is an awe inspiring monument that is testament to hard work and perseverance.
If you are going to Sturgis this year or any other, you must check out the lighting ceremonies that the park puts on. It is a great experience, both the sight and the narration of the four men in stone.
Evening Lighting Ceremony| May 13 - August 11, 2012 | Lighting ceremony held nightly at 9:00 p.m. |
| August 12 - September 30, 2012 | Lighting ceremony held nightly at 8:00 p.m. |
| October 1, 2012 - May, 2013 | Sculpture illuminated nightly for one hour, approximately 30 minutes after sunset |
