The Celebration of the Motorcycle takes place this Oct 28 at the Del Mar racetrack in Southern California. The first time I attended the antique motorcycle show at Del Mar was back in 92 after graduating MMI. Some of my most inspiring instructors at the school also were judges at the show. One became a great friend (and hero) of mine after school. He ran his father's Dealership from 1938 til around the 70s. Jim was such a wealth of knowledge and didnt forget a thing. Whenever I was around him, I was constantly taking notes writing on napkins or whatever pieces of paper I found lying around. "Now, for one year only Harley would......". Stuff most folks forgot. It is good to see this iconic show back.
