Bob Knucklehead for BF5

To get that bobbed look of the 40s and 50s, I am going to remove the rear part of the fender at the hinge like my Pa did.  I learn something about this bike every time I work on it.  It seems my Pa had the foresight to put the bike back to this look when he put it back to stock after he married my Mom.



He kept extra taillight wire to make it easier to feed through the fender harness tunnel.


Removed rear portion of the fender.


Now, cutting and grinding on his bike would ordinarily break my heart. But, it looks like when he brought it back to stock, he used non OE rivets.  So, time to remove the back fender brace.



Off with the Buco saddlebag mounts, fender brace and rear stand.  Geez, there are a lotta holes in this fender...
