MMI to host free class at Dealer Expo

MMI brings diagnostics training program to 2014 Dealer Expo

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – The Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) a division of Universal Technical Institute, will deliver two half-day ‘master’ classes on Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) diagnostics during the National Retail Conference presented by Dealernews, in conjunction with the 2014 Dealer Expo.
The National Retail Conference is a day-long, advanced business education program for powersports retailers, providing training sessions in business management, marketing, sales and service on Thursday, Dec. 4, at McCormick Place West in downtown Chicago. The 2014 Dealer Expo will be held at McCormick West Friday through Sunday, Dec. 5-7.
MMI’s advanced training curricula for professional service technicians, managers and other personnel will focus on advancements in electronic fuel injection and diagnosing those systems. MMI instructor(s) will show participants how to use today’s new technologies to identify problems, and demonstrate new scanning tools available to technicians.
The morning half-day course will repeat in the afternoon.
“Having this relationship with the National Retail Conference offers MMI the opportunity to bring the latest diagnostic training to professional technicians across the country,” said Dennis Hendrix, vice president of Industry Alliances at UTI/MMI.
Participants who go through the 3.5-hour course will receive a special Certificate of Completion from the National Retail Conference.
