Brakes

Getting the Knuck ready for Born Free.  Brakes on these bikes are dicey at best, and my rear brakes "went out" a few Tuesdays ago.  I dug through my Pa's old parts and some that I have collected over the years, and found I had some re pop rear brake pads from Chrome Specialties.

Every tapered hub bolt was finger tight.  Yikes

Removing the brake drum

Cleaned up drum and used Herman's drum micrometer.  Thank goodness it was in spec.  You cant turn these drums cuz they are stamped steel.  Only the juice drums on Panheads can be turned.

All done and ready to install.
