Star Hub

My Pa's bike has seen little maintenance in the 27 years I have had it.  Mostly keeping it as a shrine to him and showing it off whenever I have the opportunity.  But, they are meant to ride and I plan to at Born Free this year.  So, its time to do some routine work to the scooter.  First up was brakes, now to check the bearings.   I dont remember the wheels ever off the bike, so it is a safe bet that the bearings have not been packed in at least 50 years.  Here is the unveiling.....

Now, to clean and inspect.

Repacked and back on the motorcycle.  Seems to roll just fine.  And Herman's 103 inch Shovel seems to roll nicely too.
